Parsons International has been operating in the Sultanate of Oman since the mid 80s, when they were deeply involved in the development of the public water supplies, as they now exist. Blue City – Design and construction supervision of the infrastructure and site preparation, including wastewater collection and treatment, site grading, irrigation, service corridor layout, roads and street lighting.

The Wave – Design and construction supervision of the infrastructure and site preparation, including wastewater collection and treatment, water supply, power supply, site grading, irrigation, service corridor layout, roads and street lighting.

Construction Supervision of Salalah Wastewater Collection and Conveyance System – Construction supervision services related to Water Reclamation Plant (capacity 20 million litre per day average flow), Wastewater Collection System, and Ground Water Recharge System.

Seeb Wastewater Collection and Conveyance Project – The design and supervision services for the provision of sewage collection , conveyance and treatment in the A' Seeb Catchment area of the Muscat Governorate. The project includes the installation of a full SCADA and monitoring system for the sewerage works and pumps stations.

Sohar Industrial Estate Expansion - Design and construction supervision of the infrastructure and site preparation, including site drainage and flood protection of the extension to the existing Sohar Industrial Estate.

Seeb Wastewater Collection and Conveyance Project - The design and supervision services for the provision of sewage collection, conveyance and treatment in the A'Seeb Catchment area of the Muscat Governorate. The project includes the installation of a full SCADA and monitoring system for the sewerage works and pumps stations.
Sohar Industrial Port Infrastructure - This project will provide design and construction supervision services for the utilities to serve the developments and infrastructure within the Sohar industrial area. It also involves the design of the roads corridors in which these utilities, together with the industry feedstock and product supply conveyances will also be located. The Client for this project is Ministry of Transport and Communications
Central Desalination Plant at Sur and Water Supply Schemes to Al Sharqiya Region – Design and construction supervision of a water supply transmission system to supply the Sharqiya region, including reservoirs, distributions and groundwater blending facilities for major settlements. Design. This project included a complete SCADA system to be integrated into the existing system designed for the central transmission system that was under construction at the time of design.
Investigate the potential of Nejd for Fodder Crop production to replace that grown in Batinah Nejd, Dhofar Region Oman - Develop an appropriate strategy to promote the agricultural development of the Nedj region with the view to moving the existing Fodder cropping in the Bathinah region and diversifying crop production. Reviewing the ground water resources so as to meet the development goals
Consultancy Services for the Study for Water Demand Management in the Industrial and Commercial Sector- Assessment of industrial water demand and water resources licensing system. Review of relevant legislation, advising on appropriate methods and legislation to properly manage and control the industrial use of water resources.
Emergency Storage Reservoirs for Muscat Area - Assessment of demand and sizing of reservoirs to provide 7 days storage. Preliminary design of reservoirs including locations, to provide the necessary storage in a phased manner, considering 2020 demand. Preliminary costing of project. Socio-economic study and environmental impact assessment
Construction Supervision of Salalah Wastewater Collection and Conveyance System - Construction supervision services related to Water Reclamation Plant (capacity 20 million litre per day average flow), Wastewater Collection System, and Ground Water Recharge System. At present, this project is on commissioning stage.
Extension of Water Supply to Mabella, Governorate of Muscat – Oman - Design modification, re-tendering and Contract Documents, and Construction supervision for the laying of 215 km of transmission of AC and DI pipelines, raging in size from 100 to 600mm. 3 No 20,000 cub m RCC reservoir.
Extension of Water Supply to Ghala, Governorate of Muscat – Oman - Design modification, re-tendering and Contract Documents, and Construction supervision for the laying of 55 km of transmission of AC and DI pipelines, raging in size from 100 to 600mm. 3 No 10,000 cub m RCC reservoirs.
Extension of Water Supply to Mawalla, Governorate of Muscat - OmanDesign modification, re-tendering and Contract Documents, and Construction supervision for the laying of 105 km of transmission of AC and DI pipelines, raging in size from 100 to 600mm. 3 No RCC reservoir, 2 No of 18,000 cub m and 1 No of 8,000 cub m
Oman Mining, Capping of Tailings dam - Design review of a system to cover, with HDPE liner the tailings produced by the Copper smelting operation, to prevent rainwater ingress and therefore leachate to the aquifer. System proposed by others
Brackish Water study - Study to evaluate the brackish water resources of Oman and make recommendations for its utilization. Develop a master plan for brackish water development
Drilling Programme in Sharqiyah Region - Supervision of drilling programme to evaluate fresh ground water resources. Evaluation of data
Drilling Programme in Dakhliya Region - Supervision of drilling programme to evaluate fresh ground water resources. Evaluation of data
PDO – Fahud Flooding Investigation – Investigate the Fahud oil well field surface water flooding problem and devlope the most appropriate solution.
Al-Harthy Centre Development – Investigate the most appropriate solution that will allow ther Al-Harthy complex to encroach into the wadi area to provide additional car paking area.
Salalah Wastewater Collection and Conveyance Project – Connection of Part of Phase II – Design of Collection and Conveyance System for North Awqad and Al Saadah areas.
Barka Water Transmission Project - the project is a fast track design-build project, it includes the design of two storage reservoirs at Barka Desalination Plant feeding to a pumping station, which then forwards flow to two systems.
Seeb Reservoir – through 1600mm steel pipe
South Batinah System – through 1000-500mm steel pipes
Design two service reservoirs at Barka and Musannah.
Modifications to Seeb reservoir.
Small Retention Dams - Jebel Akhdar Project - This project is for Construction Supervision of Small Retention Dams in Jabel Akhdar, Dakhaliyah Region includes design review and construction supervision services related to small retention dams. This involves carrying out the construction of 6 small retention dams and 13 other hydraulic structures through this contract with required pipeline, water pump with diesel generator and service reservoir wherever required considering the topographical conditions. The Client for this project is Ministry of Regional Municipalities, Environment and Water Resources.
Wadi Mistal Recharge Dam Project - includes design review and construction supervision services related to Recharge Dams across Wadi Mistal in Nakhal Wilayat. This involves construction supervision of recharge earthen dams (2 nos) across the Wadi Mistal. The dam is constructed to enhance recharge of the groundwater to the downstream users. The two earthen dams of lengths of 90 m and 470 m have a maximum height of 5.5 m with spillways and culverts. The Client for this project is Ministry of Regional Municipalities, Environment and Water Resources.
Water Supply and Desalination Plant – Dibba - includes design and construction supervision services related to RO desalination plant extension, storage reservoirs and distribution reservoirs, transmission mains, pumping stations and water distribution network. The project includes a water source study to establish the desalination plant feed water source.
Water Supply to Ras Al Had Project - includes design and construction supervision services related to RO desalination plant extension, storage reservoirs and distribution reservoirs, transmission mains, pumping stations and water distribution network. The project includes a water source study to assist the availability of groundwater and recommend for water source.
Water System Improvements Project - includes design and construction supervision services related to the construction of a 54,000 cu.m reservoir (Reservoir No. 2 at Ghubrah), new pumping station, 42 km of 1000 mm transmission pipeline, laboratory and fluoridation facilities and other related works.
Water Supply Master Plan for Muscat - a comprehensive Master Plan document to serve the Muscat vicinity until the design year 2010.
